{Peg}

Here is my peg picture - I don't have any "real" pegs are we don't have space for a washing line so these are mini craft pegs - far cuter!

{Shadow}

Here is my shadow for today - i really should have made use of the sun this morning but I was too late, and it's now raining again so no natural shadows to be had!

{Treat}

My regular treat is a good film - I almost always have one on when I'm busy around the house, or in the evening when I curl up on the sofa with a glass of wine to watch. This is actually just a section of our DVD collection - I dread to think what the accumulative value of all of these is!!

Yesterday I actually sat down and did some scrapping. This picture of the tap I've wanted to scrap for ages, although it may not be a usual subject for a page! The journalling reads "Most of the time at St Luke's we had to fetch water from the well for laundry and bucket baths. So on the rare occassion that the tap ran everyone got very excited! I just had to get a photo to commemorate the day the tap ran!" I love the making memories tapes - they have a lovely texture to them, and are really vibrant colours.

I'm not completely sure about the second page - I played around with it for ages and in the end thought it best to leave it be!

Today the packing up of the house starts, as it is now only about 3 weeks until we move and it is going to take us a long long time! A couple of boxes a day should help us on the way with it - today I'm packing up the fine china as we rarely use it.

Rain, rain, go away

We thoroughly enjoyed Pirates 3 on saturday - it was very long though, the cinema even put on an intermission! Much like the previous two it was great fun, with a few twists along the way that I wasn't expecting. I would definately recommend it. We also had some great trailers - i love seeing the trailers almost as much as the film itself lol! We had harry potter 5, shrek 3, oceans 13, ratatouille and the bourne ultimatum. Why is it that sometimes there are no films on, and then they all come out at once!
It started raining on Saturday afternoon and hasn't stopped since! This morning it was actually hailing!!! Mind you I can't remember the last time we had some proper rain, no doubt it will do the gardens a lot of good. That doesn't mean I'm happy about it though!

{Reflection}

Quite a choice of things to decide between today but in the end i roped Michael in to get this shot of him in his sunnies!

Very excited as we are off to see captain jack sparrow at the cinema later today after a nice lunch out. Jonny Depp is just the greatest lol! I have no doubts that the film will be great, but will report back after we've seen it!

{Spoon}

Yup, grab a spoon and take a photo of it was today's task. I chose this very pretty teaspoon! Being rather bored this afternoon I decided to have a play about with photoshop and some free triptycs, so here is my spoon all jazzed up with borders!

{Toe}

Eek, toes, not my favourite thing in the world! I don't mind toes in general, but I'm not keen on mine - the second toes are longer than the big toes by quite a lot. My mum told me that was what happened to intelligent people but I have a suspicion that she was just saying that to cheer me up! Here are my toes, in one of my favourite summer shoes - oh I do love summer sandals!

{Polish}

Well today's work is "polish", and there is a distinct lack of furniture polish in this house! I do wonder for how long we have been out of polish without noticing. So here instead we have nail polish - which there is an abundance of!

Sunset

I finally got around to finishing this LO which has been sat on the table for ages now. I really wanted to make the most of the picture, and was struggling with what to put with it! It's turned out quite simple in the end, but the twinkle type letters make it special! anything pink and glittery is a winner in my book!

{Path and Butterfly}

Today's word was path. A lovely walk at a local park gave me lots of path pictures, along with a chance to practice my close-ups on all the beautiful flowers! I got some lovely shots of the ducks on the lake - there are so many ducklings about, and I found this beatiful butterfly - perfect for a prompt i missed out on a while ago!

{Cookies}

I was shocked at the lack of cookies or biscuits in the house - the only thing we have is these rich tea biscuits!

{Cards}

The most obvious cards in my space are playing cards - we have loads! I had fun with this today, and took loads of photos - experimenting with angles and settings.

It's been a beautiful day here, although it has clouded over now. For a moment I thought summer was coming back, I do love the sunshine!
I had a great lunch out with one of my oldest and best friends - she is my chief bridesmaid for the wedding next year so we discussed all sorts of details. She was down in Leeds for another friend's hen night, for which she is also bridesmaid - she will be full of experience for ours!
This afternoon I have sat on the sofa with all my scrapping supplies out and done nothing! I have lots of ideas for colours, designs etc, but I'm totally uninspired by all my photos! Perhaps I shall use one of the ones I've taken for herspace myspace.

{Beads}

This is a photo of the strap of one of my favourite tops, and it's covered in beads - perfect for today's prompt.

Friday 18 May 2007

{Ribbons}

Oooh I just love ribbons, and I have quite a collection! Choosing which to use for the promt today was difficult, but it meant i got to get them all out and play! I eventually plumped for my favourite american crafts ribbons in pink - well it had to be really!

{Straps}

Struggled a bit with this prompt! I have lots of bags, but i couldn't get any decent photos of most of their straps!

We have now agreed on a house to rent in norwich - yay! It's all so exciting! We will be moving down at the end of June so not very long really. I'd better start packing then.

{Chocolate, Shoe, Snack and Tree}

So many herspacemyspace promts to catch up on!
Here are a few that caught my eye.

Holidays and birthdays

Had a wonderful holiday in Cyprus with the girls. It was so nice to be able to fully relax after the last few months, which have been pretty stressful! We spent the days lounging around on the beach or by the pool, and the evenings dining out and partying! Between us we took loads of photos, I can't wait to get everyone else's on disc to have a good look through - the joys of digital photography!

I got home very early on thursday morning and then on Friday I was taken to London to see "Wicked", which was absolutely fantastic! I would certainly recommend it to anyone. I'd definately see it again! On Saturday we went out for a birthday dinner, and then on Monday we went into Norwich to get our bearings and to see a possible house to rent, ready to move down in June.
I was treated to some lovely birthday presents, including a pink and silver diving watch from my sister,

beautiful clothes from michael and a troll bracelet from mum and dad, for which i also got a couple of beads.

Oops

Okay, I apologise, I've been a rubbish blogger!
But in my defence I did have exams, and then a cybercrop and now I'm off to Cyprus for a week tomorrow! I haven't done a herspacemyspace prompt for ages, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it when I get back.
I had a very productive cybercropping weekend over at UKS and finished 13 layouts and a minibook, along with another couple of small items.
Will share a couple of my favourites today - firstly "Me and You" which was based on a class by SarahW and features a load of my favoutite photos of me and michael from the last 6 years! I used my feb scrapagogo kit for this one and I just love the end result!
Another favourite is "The Beach" which was inspired by a digital class from Katie - I just used the sketch for my paper version.
The April Scrapagogo kit was perfect for these photos, and you can't really tell but the cardstock is bazzill bling which is very scrummy! Lastly, a LO about me based on a class by Nat encouraging us to use decorative scissors!
I love how this turned out. The photo was taken last week after I'd finished my exams, and the journalling is about how fast the last 5 years have gone - they really have flown by!
Anyway, I must be off, I have a suitcase to pack!
